1. You can use whatever you like to solve the test, but you should do it without help from other persons. There is no time limit. 2. After answering the problem you should look up the solution and score the problem. After looking up the solution this problem may not be answered again (because it doesn't make sense). 3. The number of stars shows the difficulty level of each problem according to the results when the solutions had to be sent in. The following classification is used: ------------------------------------- 1 star = 'easy' : 33.33% ... 100% correct answers 2 stars = medium : 16.67% ... 33.33% correct answers 3 stars = difficult : 8.33% ... 16.67% correct answers 4 stars = brain twisting : < 8.33% correct answers 5 stars = nearly impossible : only 1 correct answer 4. There are two ways to calculatate your score: - Raw score: just add up the number of correct answers. - Weighted score: add up the numbers of stars of the correctly answered problems. The problems 1-25 are taken from Rottus' Genius Test Part I, problems 26-50 are the Rottus' Genius Test Part II and problems from 51 on are new problems (part III). Since only test takers who solved at least one correct answer could originally access part II, the ratings of part II are somewhat low compared to part I (a lot of test takers didn't solve any problem correct and many only guessed the solutions).
