Introduction:
=============
Below you can download the Windows version of Bricks which was programmed by Nolan Pflug. While the original program is a DOS program which also runs on Windows the new version is a 'real' Windows program. It should run on all versions of Windows.
Differences:
============
There are some differences between the DOS and the Windows version:
| - Score Files: |
the scores are now stored differently. The new score files are smaller. Old score files still can be used with the new version, but it's not possible to use new score files on the old version (DOS). However, there is program to convert files between both versions if needed.
|
| - Different games: |
There is only one executable file for all Bricks programs (Bricks I, Bricks II, Bricks III, Bricks IV, Bricks Jr., Custom Bricks and the competitions). The different levels are stored in libraries (dll files) which are detected automatically by the program if they are saved in the same folder. For switching between the programs you need to right click on the window frame of the game and to select the game from the appearing menu (see picture below).
|
| - Additional functions: |
Sound (needs the zipped sound files), Edit records (right click on the window frame), improved set up (more than 6 players, ...) |
The following table gives an overview of all games:
Note: All files are compressed with winzip.
